Conservative Leaders, Candidates and Commentators Make My Case For Me

I am often accused of insulting the intelligence of conservative voters in America. I decided to see if I could find out where these brainiacs get their incredible level of ignorance from. I will admit that even I was surprised at the amount of guidance their elected Representatives, chosen Media Representatives, respected Religious Leaders, and a variety of their Candidates and possible Candidates, provide them.

It is no wonder these people have the ability to make an old decaying Stump look smart. This is a large collection of quotes and begins to paint a picture of what it takes to become a conservative representative who's going to spend time in the public arena. It also says a heck of a lot about what the tea party and most conservatives look for in a candidate, religious leader or newscaster. I will leave it to you to decide exactly what they look for. I will also state that there is no way you can say I'm picking on these people. All I did was post a copy of their own words, so don't bother wasting my time with those kinds of remarks. I didn't make it up, it came out of their mouths and was spoken with complete sincerity. They believed it and you respect them, listen to them, believed them and voted for or will vote for them, in spite of it.

I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus -- band -- Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women. It also makes the point, it is kind of embarrassing, the Democratic Party ought to be hanging its head in shame, that it has so much difficulty getting men to vote for it. I mean, you do see it's the party of women and 'We'll pay for health care and tuition and day care -- and here, what else can we give you, soccer moms?'"

''God may choose to heal someone from cancer, yet that person still has a great deal of medical bills. The outstanding bills do not determine whether or not the patient has been healed by God.'' Christine O'Donnell, in a 1998 op ed

Sharron Angle, floating the possibility of armed insurrection, interview with right-wing talk radio host Lars Larson in Portland, OR, January 2010

''It is not enough to be abstinent with other people, you also have to be abstinent alone. The Bible says that lust in your heart is committing adultery. You can't masturbate without lust!'' Christine O'Donnell, advocating against masturbation in a 1996 appearance on MTV's 'Sex in the 90s' TV show

I think it is a tragedy in the first proportion that a private corporation can be subjected to what I would characterize as a shakedown -- in this case a $20 billion shakedown ... I'm only speaking for myself. I'm not speaking for anyone else, but I apologize. I do not want to live in a county where anytime a citizen or a corporation does something that is legitimately wrong, [it is] subject to some sort of political pressure that, again, in my words, amounts to a shakedown.'' Rep. Joe Barton (R-Tex.) member of the Tea Party Caucus, during a congressional hearing with BP CEO Tony Hayward, referring to a $20 billion fund for damages that President Obama pressured BP to set up to pay for the Gulf oil spill. In Closing

This is just the tip of the iceberg of what I found. I added no comments to these signs of intelligent life as much as I wanted to. Anyone who votes for a candidate that states condoms causes the spread of aids is a ______(fill in the blank yourself) I hope some of you get a laugh out of these and that the rest of you wake up and realize just what kind of people you are listening to, believing, and voting for. If this is the best that your party can do, and it appears that it is, we are screwed if you don't start waking up. I know that all you need to cast a vote or believe every word uttered is for them to state that they believe in god. It's about time that you started placing a little bit of importance on their intelligence. If you aren't any smarter than these brainiacs, please stop ruining this country with your vote. If you aren't smart enough to pass the test immigrants must pass to become citizens, what gives you the right to drag this country back into the dark ages with your stupidity? Forrest Gump was a movie, not a blueprint for the perfect political candidate or leader.
